I edited the poll to add Lathrop. They dropped like a rock after two resounding defeats to West Valley last week. The Power Poll sees them as a distant runner up to West Valley coming out of the Fairbanks region at this time.

Defending Alaska champions Ketchikan King Salmon are 9-6 but probably will not lose again for the rest of the regular season so a 17-6 record will be very respectful and they will be right in that mix as a top 8 team no doubt.

The Power Poll is still tracking the Kayhi Kings. The two 20+ point losses they suffered in their trip to Anchorage knocked them down and out of the poll, but if they can rally and return to state, they’ll definitely stay relevant.

Having a guard like Chris Lee on your squad and a good coach keeps them in the conversation. Pihl is a good number two scoring option. Overall depth and ability to hang with the stronger and deeper teams over a 32 minute game for 3 nights in a row is the question.

Makes sense my chili-eating friend. Those two losses have to have a negative effect no doubt but they also have beaten three teams in the top eight and likely won't lost another game until the state tourney, where t hey will start with a 19-6 record. Thank you for doing these here polls it makes it intereesting and keeps things in persepective. Some people like shakira over Jlo and some people don't put beans in their chili, so who knows, but it help out those who dont get to see every team throughout the season.
