    Bartlett 51 WV 26

Bartlett's offense was pretty close to unstoppable (or WV has work to do on defense?). WV looked very good on offense at times as well. Tucker Plass threw a lot late in the game. Chris Nuttall caught a ton of passes, as did Larenzo Graham. I don't recall seeing a punt the entire second half.... I missed the first half. WV's KOR had several very nice returns. All in all a pretty good game.

Bartlett JV beat WV's 40ish to 0. West Anc JV's did the same to NP.

Hoping somebody posts reports on tonight's games.

    Skyview defeats Wasilla 32-20.

Jordan Jones had 170+ yards through the air and 3 scores. Jasen Suonvieri had close to 150 yards on the ground and 2 scores. Ben Fielder played QB for the game and had 2 TDs to Anderson for 130ish yards. Could be a long season for the Wasilla team. Skyview showed they are going to compete this year on the peninsula.

I saw some tape on Skyview last year and was pretty impressed with their progress. I'm not too surprised to see them playing well. Not a good day for the railbelt so far today: NP, WV, and Wasilla all losing. Any word out there on Colony, Palmer, and Juneau scores?

    SOHI-41 Eagle River-16

Eagle river made a game of it for 3 quarters before Soldotna ran away with it in the 4th. SoHi led 13-10 at halftime, and 20-10 after 3 quarters.
Eagle Rivers defense played very well and kept them in the game, but they wore down as the game progressed and their offense sputtered and failed against a stingy SoHi defense. Eagles River's offensive woes were mainly due to losing the battle at the line of scrimmage. Eagle River only had 6 first downs, punted 5 times, and had 128 total yards, half of which came on a 64 yard TD pass to make it a 27-16 in the 4th quarter. Eagle Rivers offense was also hampered by penalties all night long racking up 17 penalties for 131 yards, and throwing 2 interceptions. Jachike Madubuko was the bright spot for Eagle River scoring both Wolves TDs on a 73 punt return and a 64 yard catch.

Soldotna once again looks very good. Questions about their offense line seem to be answered as they controlled the line of scrimmage thoughout the game. Sohi rolled up 382 total yards, of which 281 came on the ground.
SoHi had no turnovers, but did rack up 13 penalties for 105 yards.

Soldotna at Palmer should be a good one next week.

The NLC looks really tough this year. Skyview has 17 returning starters and Homer has 16 seniors on the team. It seems both schools have managed to close the gap on Kenai and Soldotna. The NLC should be a slugfest with those 4 teams and Kodiak in the mix fighting for just 3 playoff spots. We'll figure out if Skyview really is a title contender next week when they host Kenai.
