19-12 Wasilla at halftime
Wasilla 40 Juneau 18 start of 4th
I am surprised. Juneau has pitched 3 shut outs, allowed 13 points and then this happens... high five to Wasilla.
Final 53-33 Wasilla!!!
Where are the details on this game? Did Juneau have a bunch of kids stay home for some reason? Injuries? Juneau usually has a mid-season swoon, but this is a bit much.....
Teeling 3 TDs in the win including a 60 yard sprint following a Juneau TD. Fenumiai was off a bit in his passing, overthrowing many of his receivers. He still threw for over 300 yards in the loss. I think that this might be the first win for Wasilla over Juneau since the 2 teams started playing in the 90's. I guess like last season where Colony picked up their first-ever win against Juneau, Wasilla comes to do the same. And knocking off the #1 team in the state while doing so. Amazing game to watch!
There were some good off/def players sitting home here due to injuries, but even so it was just an off game for the Bears. Three overthrown TD passes in a row is just an off game. Oh well, it was a great game to listen to. Sure wish it was televised! Congrats to the Warriors! Those guys EARNED the game! (Way to go coach!)
Let's not forget to mention the "inadvertent" whistle that cost JDHS a touchdown either....
53-33...I'm sure that one play would have changed everything!!! lol I'm a JDS fan but it actually wasnt even as close as the score indicates. WHS had some serious scrubs (Freshman I assume) in w/ 8 minutes to go in the 4th.
When was the "inadvertent" whistle, premera? Was the game still close? Were you at the game? Hear about it on the radio? Hmmmmm....
Coldjoe, the game was on the radio? Was it only broadcast in Juneau? Did Juneau send up a crew to call the game? What was their take on the game as a whole?
I'm still waiting for someone who saw the Wasilla-Juneau game to explain how a team that had stuffed previous opponents to the tune of 13 total points had 55 hung on 'em by a two-loss team.
I was at the game. Wasilla looks like a different team than they have been in the 1st 2 weeks. I've seen the film of them against Skyview and it looks like they have done a complete 180. I have no idea what they did but its working. crazy...
I heard Wasilla's running back did really well.
