Bartlett beat a scrappy NP squad 32-27. North Pole killed itself with penalties on 4 or 5 plays that killed red zone drives and ruined a goalline stand. Danny Grszesiuk played well at QB for the Patriots and Garrett Duncan had a solid day at WR too. Terrence Anthony #21 was the big weapon for the Bears. Good, solid, clean game on both sides. Sloppy special teams hurt both sides about equally.

NP's JV beat Bartlett 29-25. Sophomore Matt Wentland and Freshman Austin McCoy led the offensive attack for the patriots, while a swarming defense led by the TNT in the middle held the bartlett wing-t at bay. Bartlett's offense did the throw the ball well late in the game to get them close. NP turned the ball over 2 or 3 times in the red zone, one of which went 97 yards the other way for a touchdown on a fumble recovery.

Any other updates out there? Don't forget to report JV results for those of us that care:)

Chugiak came from behind to beat Palmer 31-21, Palmer lead 21-12 after Palmer got the ball on the kick off after a Chugiak turnover, and on the next play turned a TD on a 40 or so yard run (untouched if not almost untouched) Chugiak used FG and a saftey to pull back to 21-17 then used a drive with good running and a jump ball in the end zone for a 24-21 lead.

No JV scores out there? I'm not sure how many real fans we have out there :)

Dimond beat colony in overtime 18-12. Stunner. #7, the QB for Dimond, is a heck of an athlete.

Anybody here a score on Lathrop-Eagle River?

    Re: Saturday Scores JV/Cteam

Palmer C Team won 58-21 (I think or something close to that. Palmer dominated the game and introduced a freshman, James Nesbitt at RB that scoots for C and JV. If he stays healthy we will be hearing allot more about him. Palmer JV also won 34-12. Very tight performance and unusually balanced between run and pass which is a bit unusual for Palmer. The sweep for the day died with Varsity. Palmer looked good to start until Graham got going. They did not have an answer for him. That kid is fun to watch (kinda like a weeble).

Juneau-Douglas Junior Varsity 46 - Thunder Mountain Junior Varsity 14

Was a close game through the first half. Thunder Mountain scored with just under a minute to make the score 18-14, Juneau. Juneau answered the call with a 50 yard run to end the half making the score 24-14. Juneau took the 2nd half kick and drove 70 yards and scored to make the score 32-16. Juneau scored again in the third to make the score 40-16, and in the fourth pulled all sophomore skill positions. Frosh made an impact and scored back to back 40+ yard plays (holding call on first of two).
Juneau Douglas' #2, #22 and #23 had over or around 100 yards rushing each.
Juneau Douglas quarterback #11 was efficient with 2 tds, 0 ints and 50 rushing
Thunder Mountains QB #36 created opportunities for the TM offense finishing with around 50 rushing and 80 passing.
Thunder Mountains RB #20 had around 100 all purpose yards

phillip fenumiai was a beast on saturday. he has the confidence of a senior and is not afraid to throw the ball down the field. he threw the football into alot of tight spots and had alot of people at the game shocked with the kind of accuracy he had. he did throw one pick but it was actually the recievers fault and was a good throw. south kind of shot themselves in the foot alot. i suspect they will be a much better team down the road. however juneau looked like they had everything perfected on both sides of the ball while alot of teams right now are dealing with mistakes and penalties. anyways good game i have respect for south and always have and good luck to both conferences and have a good season
