Alaska's Gatorade POY is Isaiah Moses a 6'0" senior PG from Dimond High . Moses led his Lynx team to a 19-5 record, and was the all time leading scorer for Dimond HIgh in it's 52 year history. He averaged 27 points per game in his senior year. In his 4 years at Dimond, the Lynx had an outstanding 108-14 win-loss record. They were aiming for their 5th state championship game appearance in a row this season when the current health situation cancelled all activities. Isaiah has been the CIC MVP two years in a row, and also was the MVP of the West High Alaska Alaska Airlines Classic, the Joe Floyd Kodiak Tourney and the Dimond Alaska Prep Shootout this season. Moses has signed and accepted a full ride scholarship to the University of Alaska Anchorage for next season. Congratulations to this fine athlete and student .

One of the best point guards to come out of Alaska in the last 20 years — just a super tough player to contain because he can hurt you in multiple ways. Rusty said in his press release that he is a three level scorer (three ball, mid range and at the basket). I’d take it a step further and say that he’s also dangerous in transition as he’s so good at getting out and scoring on the break.

I’ll be stunned if he’s not great in the GNAC right from the get go.
